Our collection of new minibuses
Here at GM Minibus, we offer a wide range of base vehicles from a broad selection of major manufacturers, including Fiat, Citroen and Peugeot. These large vehicles convert favourably into minibuses. With over 30 years’ experience, our specialists will work with you to design the minibus to meet the needs and preference of your organisation. Start by choosing the number of seats you need – we have options available all the way up to a 17 seater minibus!
Go bespoke
The relationship between custom built minibuses and GM Coachwork goes back to the early days. Creating a unique and custom built minibus is in our DNA – it’s what we do best. We pride ourselves on coming up with ideas and solutions to customer requests and we’re never afraid to think outside the box. We’ve had customers come to us for a custom built minibus from the likes of the Eden Project, the Met Office, BBC and the Tate Gallery – all asking for something unique. Below are some recent examples of custom built minibuses we have created.

10 to 17 seat minibuses
New minibuses for charities, councils and community transport operators and more. From compact 10 to 12 seaters to 15 to 17 seat models on Ford, Peugeot and Maxus bases. Every vehicle is built to your specification, with the licence position made clear before you order.
Up to 9 seater minibuses
Smaller minibuses for teams that need up to nine seats: the Citroën eSpacetourer and eBerlingo, the Mercedes eVito and the Peugeot patient transport vehicle. Electric options throughout, and most are driven on a standard car licence rather than a D1.
Wheelchair accessible minibuses
Minibuses built with wheelchair access designed in, carrying one or more wheelchair users alongside seated passengers, in sizes up to 17 seats and with electric or diesel power. See every configuration across the Peugeot, Mercedes, Ford and Citroën range before you request a quote.
Electric minibuses
Zero-emission minibuses from four to sixteen passengers on Ford, Peugeot, Maxus, Citroën and Mercedes bases. GM Coachwork built its first electric minibus in 2019, and the range now runs from car-licence vehicles to the 16 seat Ford eTransit.
Minibus Lite
A lightweight 17 seat Peugeot Boxer conversion that can be driven on a car licence, with European Whole Vehicle Type Approval and more than 7,000 built since 2011. One of only two Peugeot Validated Conversions in the UK.
Bespoke options
Seating layouts, removable seats, steps, stowage, tail lifts and ramps, specified around how the vehicle will be used. We will talk you through the options and build to your needs and budget, from a standard layout to a one-off vehicle.

Minibus information
You can drive a minibus in the UK if you’re 21 or over, have had a driving licence for 2 years plus, and you meet required medical standards. If you want to drive commercially, or if the above doesn’t apply, you’ll need to apply for a minibus provisional entitlement (PCV licence) and a public service vehicle operator licence.
Wheelchair accessibility
We provide bespoke wheelchair accessible minibuses, designed in a range of sizes and configurations, up to 17 seaters. Whether you need electric or diesel, we have the perfect minibus to meet your needs. Contact our specialists today to find out how we can help you.
